I was over-budget on that last show.
This has happened to me twice.
On neither occasion was it because I spent too much on the costumes that made it onstage. Both times, I mismanaged the online spending.
The first time was also the first time I bought anything online; it was in 2015. The budget for that show was $1,000.
I made a massive purchase from The Real Real - I was elated to discover the very first consignment shop to take returns. The jacket above did not cost me $130, like the page says, it was 40% off, so $91. Super pricey … good thing that was the one we chose. Because!
